Consistency is Key



Hey guys! I hope you enjoyed the last post "Your Greater Than You Know", and I hope you were able to start your vision boards. I would love to see what you've created so please leave a picture below and tell us a little about your vision. For this post I want to talk about consistency and let you know that consistency is key. One of the definitions for consistency is as follows:


Consistency: agreement, harmony, or compatibility, especially correspondence or uniformity among the parts of a complex thing.


When working to complete a goal or accomplishing anything in life we have to remember that being consistent is an important factor to our success in life (the complex thing). Our consistency helps us to create positive habits, progressive actions which all leads to success. Do you want to be successful? If your answer is yes, which I pray it is. Then your journey to a consistent life must start now! Something that I’ve done to help me be consistent with my goals and create a progressive lifestyle, is setting my alarm to wake up and be productive at 8:00am every day. I’ve gotten so use to waking up at 8am that now, even if I don’t set my alarm I automatically wake up. The reason why I wanted to create this habit was because 1. I felt 8am was a decent and realistic time that I would get out of my soft plush bed. 2. I told myself that every time I got up at 8am I knew in my mind I needed to be productive. So every day I practiced this. This was my first entrance into the consistency world. Some days were harder than others. I loved to roll over and hit the snooze button lol, but I knew change was happening in my mind because every time that alarm went off, snooze or no snooze I would tell myself I needed to do something productive. I had no clue what this was stirring up in me. Now that this is a habit of mine I have full control to say ok LaQuelle, you need to get up, or you can sleep for 30 more minutes.


If you can’t be consistent with the little things, how can you expect consistent rewards when you step into your greatness? So, my question to you is, what can you be consistent with? What do you need to work on? Also what’s a positive habit you can start to help create progression to your success? Below is a quick task for you to begin your journey to a more consistent lifestyle so that you're able to fulfill your purpose in your life.


Consistency Task


Step 1: Take a sheet of paper and write down all the positive habits you would need to learn in order to tap into your purpose in life.


Step 2: Choose one of these habits


Steps 3: practice this habit for a month, and tape your list on your wall near your vision board.


*As habits are formed and your journey to consistency begins, check off your habits list.
