It is very important to keep your circle sacred. Especially if you’re pursuing your purpose in life. Everyone will not understand the journey that you will take, and everyone is not meant to walk with you on your journey. When you are walking in purpose, there are so many distractions that will come your way to try to take you off course, and yes those distractions can be your friends. Sometimes you may hang with people who are envious of the things your doing which can cause them to always speak doubt to your vision. We may have a friend whose like a leech and they drain you of all your energy, your positive motivation that they do nothing with only to leave you with without any fuel to pour back into yourself.

Social Media
Other outside hobbies (the things you do just for fun)
Television

Now that we have an idea of what some distractions are, let’s take a look at how our friends can be an asset or hindrance to our journey. If you take a moment to examine the company that you keep, you will begin to notice that in each person there’s a small piece of yourself. Now, this can be good or bad to the journey that you are on. You have to consider your goal, what you want your end result to be and what road you need to take to make these goals come to life. Are your friends adding to your goals or depleting them? You want to make sure that those you keep around are encouraging you in the right direction and pushing you to purpose. You need to make sure they are living in purpose as well!
If you notice that you’re not satisfied with the company you keep, then maybe it’s time to upgrade your friends.
