Wow, it is such an honor to be able to speak with Pasha Cook who is and has been doing amazing things! We are so grateful to be able to gain insight into your journey, your passion, and as we all say here your purpose.
Style-Ography: Tell us a little about your history and purpose in life. What do you do?
Pasha: Being a former athlete whose now an entrepreneur, I realized that what I learned and practice in sports was able to be transferable to my career. Once I was able to identify those skills, I was able to act with intention towards my goals which has guided me to my purpose and has led me to see the manifestation of the things I wanted in my life. Now, I coin myself as an empowerment practitioner. I empower and educate people through workshops, speaking engagements, creating content as well as writing books that helps to not only empower myself, but also to empower others to live beyond their circumstances and limitations that’s been created by either themselves or people’s perceptions of them.
Style-Ography: Briefly describe your journey to getting connected to your life’s purpose.
Pasha: Um briefly, (she gives us a little chuckle as she tries to sum it all up) my journey consist of pure determination. Determined to win and surpass the negative chatter that wakes up with you in the morning and goes to bed at night. Being able to move past those things to create a legacy. That’s how I created my legacy, and my legacy has nothing to do with me. My legacy is about my family, the young women and girls that follow me so I can serve as a catalyst to help open doors for them to open their minds. I believe my purpose is to help others discover their purpose as well. That’s my journey that’s my legacy and hopefully I’ll be doing this until I’m about 90 years’ old.
Style-Ography: What advice would you give to a group of young teen girls who’s pursuing a dream or their purpose?
Pasha: Believe in that thing that is in your heart. No one knows what your heart feels when you do what you love. No one knows that feeling when you’re playing that instrument, writing in your journal or whatever it is you love. Many people will come into your life to distract and discourage you from your purpose. Sometimes it’s disappointing what they say to you because they don’t understand that feeling. My advice is to drown out the noise, and to do what you love. Your heart is never going to lead you in the wrong direction. It is your mind and the distractions of other people’s expectations of you that is going to limit you and steer you in the wrong direction so, believe in the thing that’s in your heart.
Style-Ography: Is there anything important that you would like to share with us and for us to share with our audience?
Pasha: I really want the women and girls of your audience to know that they matter and no matter what their history says or the way it is written, you can become the author of your life and rewrite your story.
In saying that I am working on a book right now titled “Unrepeatable Miracle” that discusses my journey from struggle to strength. It talks about where I started and how I got here. The reason I share my story in Unrepeatable Miracle is because it’s a healing process for me and I also realized that through that healing process for myself by writing and so forth that I can heal someone else. I’ve noticed people need to feel connected to something and I believe that we are all unrepeatable miracles because we can never be replaced. We can never be duplicated and we must be determined and courageous enough to leave our imprint on life, our finger print on life because its unrepeatable. It’s as priceless as the Mona Lisa, it’s your finger print and it’s your gift. I believe we should all strive to align with our gifts because our gifts are the things that pushes us to our purpose.
Pasha: Thank you for this interview! Good luck with everything. I know you guys will do well because you have big hearts and your giving back to others and that’s what life is all about, using your gifts and talents to serve the world and to change the world.
